Kidology
Kidology is a non-profit organization that exists to equip and encourage those who minister to children. Our primary ministry is Kidology.org, a website where each day over 20,000 children’s ministry leaders and volunteers find help, ideas, training, and resources that enable them to most effectively reach and teach kids.
Beyond our extensive online tools and training, we also offer help through a variety of conferences, personalized coaching, and publishing electronic and print resources.
I had Explorers last night. Leah was unable to make it and that made me work harder than I normally would. Not that I don’t work when she is there but I have come to depend on her and pull back some so that she can do her thing. James said something that struck me last night. He said, “You’re the boss, you tell me” I chuckled. Yeah, technically I am the boss but, as I told him, but I want them (my helpers) to have input and say too! The kids were just not listening last night. Pastor Gen was worried it was because we didn’t have enough help but I told her that no, it was just the kids this evening. It’s crazy how some days they can be totally off the wall. I told them the story of the woman and her two coins. While the majority of my kids weren’t listening all night there were a few who really got it and helped me realize I wasn’t talking to brick wall and I was making sense. What a refreshing feeling after that long night.
This semester I am once again teaching the K-1st grade class at Lakeview on Sunday mornings.Things have been going really really well! I have been the teacher of that class now for a year and feel I have grown in many, many ways. I never thought I would be able to take on the things that I have taken on. For the first time, I am leading Explorers, the Pre-K & K class in Kidz ST, Lakeview’s Mid-week program. Tomorrow is week 3 and so far it is going spectacularly. I feel more confident than I ever have.
